About India
I am an experienced singing teacher and singer with over 12 years of experience. I have been singing since I was about 12 years old and have had a passion for singing most of my life. I am classically trained and have achieved up to Grade 8 in Trinity College London Classical vocal exams.I have also dabbled in pop, classical and musical theatre vocal training. I have sung professionally for Portsmouth Gospel Choir and performed in theatre productions and live shows. I particularly enjoy singing opera, musical theatre and pop music. I am also a passionate teacher and teach at a primary school full time. I absolutely love to share my passion for singing with my students and provide tailored and engaging singing lessons that help my students feel confident and flourish as vocalists.

I firmly believe that singing lessons should be shaped by the student themselves and should be fun, interesting and engaging. In my singing lessons we will start with a ten to fifteen minute warm up where we go through effective breathing techniques and how to best prepare the voice for singing. Breathing and ensuring proper use of the diaphragm is essential before we start singing. We will then begin to work on our songs and pieces. I always aim to choose songs that my students will enjoy and style that they love to sing. I love learning new songs my self and am always happy to take on suggestions from my students. After learning the song thoroughly my students will then sing with music and I will provide tailored feedback to help them improve. I always aim for my lessons to help my students feel confident in their voices and support them to flourish as singers.
