About Issam
I am an experienced Arabic language tutor with professional teaching experience at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, where I have taught military personnel, defence professionals and adult learners. I specialise in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), Egyptian Arabic, Gulf Arabic and conversational Arabic, adapting my teaching to the individual needs and objectives of each student.
My lessons are structured, engaging and supportive, combining proven language-learning techniques with practical communication activities. I focus on developing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, while helping students build confidence in using Arabic in real-life situations. I also incorporate cultural awareness and professional terminology where appropriate.
Whether you are learning Arabic for personal interest, travel, professional development or military and diplomatic purposes, I will work with you to establish clear learning goals and make steady progress at your own pace.
I offer personalised one-to-one and small-group tuition, both online and face-to-face. My aim is to create a positive learning environment where every student feels supported, motivated and confident throughout their learning journey.
I look forward to helping you develop your Arabic skills and discover the richness of the Arabic language and culture.

My Approach to Tutoring and Teaching Methodology
My name is Issam, and I am an experienced Arabic language tutor specialising in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), Egyptian Arabic, Gulf Arabic and conversational Arabic. I have experience teaching military personnel, defence professionals and adult learners at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom.
My teaching approach is learner-centred, practical and adaptable. I tailor each lesson to the student's level, objectives, learning pace and interests. I use communicative activities, structured exercises, role-play, realistic conversations and cultural examples to develop confidence and improve speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although I can adapt the duration to suit individual needs. Lessons may include vocabulary development, grammar, pronunciation, conversation practice and revision, with clear learning objectives and constructive feedback.
I welcome adult learners from beginner to upper-intermediate level, including students learning Arabic for personal interest, travel, professional purposes, diplomacy or military assignments. I also offer focused conversational practice and Egyptian and Gulf dialect tuition.
My aim is to make learning Arabic engaging, supportive and effective, helping every student make steady progress and communicate with greater confidence. Lessons are available online and face-to-face, with individual and small-group options.
