About Phelim
When I was at school one teacher got me excited about history. They made it come alive. I know how important a teacher who loves their subject is to making that subject interesting, especially when they can explain it so people can understand.
I love talking about history, I love talking about how people did things in the past and how that affects us today. From medicine to what caused World War 2 these things have created the world we live in today.
As a qualified archaeologist and historian I know that history is more than dates. Having worked with children in primary school through to undergraduates at university I know that when history comes alive then the past becomes real.

Learning should be fun, and relevant for today. Lessons are built around what you need to learn, so based on the curriculum, but adjusted for how you learn. Lessons are about 1 hour but can be adjusted for age and ability.
I have worked as part of the education team at archaeology events, and for museums, doing every age from Key Stage 2 through to Undergraduates. I have also been a supervisor/advisor for A Level/AS Level students doing EPQs, and have taught archaeology in both adult interest and university contexts.
