About Callum
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and 10 years of experience teaching learners from beginner to advanced levels. My lessons are designed to help students develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence in all aspects of English, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I work with students from diverse backgrounds, understanding their individual challenges and tailoring lessons to their goals, whether academic, professional, or personal. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and practical, incorporating real-life scenarios, multimedia resources, dialogues, and authentic texts to make learning meaningful. My ESL lessons are designed to help students achieve fluency and confidence in English. Each session is structured around the student’s level and goals. Lessons start with a review of prior material to reinforce knowledge. Speaking, listening, reading, and writing are practised in every session. Vocabulary is learnt in context through reading and conversation. Grammar is explained clearly and reinforced with exercises. Listening skills are developed using recordings, dialogues, and videos. Speaking practice includes pronunciation drills, discussions, and role-playing. Reading activities include articles, short stories, and dialogues for comprehension.
Writing practice focuses on sentence formation, paragraph writing, and creative exercises. Lessons are interactive, with plenty of opportunities for questions and participation. Homework reinforces concepts learnt during class. Progress is tracked with feedback and targeted exercises. Lessons adapt to the student’s pace and learning style. I aim to make English learning enjoyable, practical, and effective. Students leave each lesson more confident, fluent, and ready to communicate.
