About Brian
I am a bass guitarist of many years standing, with some previous experience in private teaching and with children's music workshops. I have performed with many bands, in a variety of styles, including pop, country, folk, soul and ceilidh as well as originals projects.

My principal teaching method is one-to-one private lessons in the student's own home. I also offer online lessons, via Skype or similar platforms, at a 10% discount. I welcome students from Beginners to Intermediates, and offer coaching for bass grade exams from Basic to Intermediate level. Lessons are structured to include various aspects of bass guitar playing, including technique, instrument knowledge, scales and arpeggios and rhythm studies, as well as basic musical theory and an introduction to sight reading. The student's own musical tastes and preferences are taken into account when planning lessons and setting assignments.

Details
My rates are based on the current Musicians Union tariff, as amended from time to time. I offer an initial lesson at a discounted rate (£15 for a one hour lesson). Online lessons are offered at a 10% discount.
