About Joseph
I’m a bassist, guitarist, and songwriter based in Los Angeles and a graduate of Berklee College of Music. I have experience performing live, recording original music, and teaching students of different ages and skill levels.
As a teacher, I focus on creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring music. I believe learning an instrument should be both structured and enjoyable, so I balance technique and theory with learning songs and developing real musical skills.
Whether you’re picking up the bass for the first time or looking to deepen your understanding of groove, timing, and theory, I aim to help students build confidence and develop a lifelong love of music.

I focus on helping students develop strong groove, technique, and musical confidence on the electric bass. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that means learning favorite songs, improving timing and technique, understanding music theory, or developing improvisation skills.
As a graduate of Berklee College of Music and an active musician, I combine practical playing experience with clear, structured instruction. A typical lesson may include technique work, learning songs, ear training, and applying music theory directly to the bass.
I work with beginners through intermediate players and aim to keep lessons engaging, supportive, and fun while building real musical skills that students can use in bands, rehearsals, and performances.
