About Jes
A professional cellist and cello teacher who has played and taught for over 20 years. My experience includes classical as well as pop music in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco area. My career began when I was 18 and flourished under my hard work and merit as a musician, but I decided to attend college to further my music studies in 2023 to become an even better teacher and cellist.

I’ve been teaching for over 20 years,
And I have found that I especially enjoy starting adults out on their new instrument.
I strongly believe it’s never too late to learn, and I congratulate you on choosing a challenging yet rewarding instrument that I’ve dedicated my entire life to.
I emphasize good technique from day 1, because consistency and technique allows players to play whatever they dream of playing.
It’s strongly encouraged to explore music on your own to work on for projects outside of what we do in the lessons: it’s your instrument and art, and Cello should not just be designated for practice material as if it is homework.
My ultimate goal with students is to encourage and support them to find enjoyment in music and the Cello in hopes that it is their instrument for life.
