About Ben
I’ve been flying since 2020 and became a CFI in 2025. I’ve been fortunate to pass all of my checkrides on the first attempt, which I think comes down to focusing on understanding the material rather than just memorizing it.
Before aviation, I spent several years coaching sports, so teaching and helping people improve is something I genuinely enjoy. That experience has helped me learn how to explain things in different ways and be patient when something doesn’t click right away.
I try to keep lessons relaxed and approachable while still being structured and focused. My goal is to help you feel confident, not overwhelmed, and make sure you actually understand what you’re learning.
Outside of flying, I enjoy travel and many years ago I rode a motorcycle from Alaska to Argentina.

As a CFI, I aim to make aviation concepts clear & simple, especially for students who are just getting started. My goal is to help you build real understanding and confidence, not just memorize information for a test.
Each lesson is tailored to your level and goals, whether you’re beginning your private pilot training, or working toward your instrument rating/commercial certificate. A typical session includes breaking down key topics in an easy-to-understand way, with real-world flying examples, and making sure you can apply what you’ve learned.
I'm both patient and supportive, and encourage questions so you never feel stuck or overwhelmed. I have a passion for aviation and am looking forward to helping people achieve their flying goals.
