Animals, such as pandas and the twelve zodiac animals.
II. The Language
Teach students a few basic and commonly used greetings such as "Hello", "Thank you", and "Goodbye".
III. Pinyin
Use “你好 nǐ hǎo” to introduce Pinyin and Chinese characters, starting with Pinyin and helping students understand its role (to represent the pronunciation of Chinese characters).
The three parts of Pinyin: Initials, Finals, and Tones.
IV. Chinese Characters
The number of commonly used Chinese characters
The history of Chinese characters
Use oracle bone script to guess the meaning of characters (e.g., 水, 木, 山, 日, 月 are all pictograms, and students are very interested in guessing their meanings).
