Jon has been an excellent (and patient) chess teacher. He's taught me from beginner fundamentals of chess through opening, midgame and endgame strategies. My skill has SERIOUSLY improved under his tutelage - I highly recommend!

He’s a great teacher and is always patient and supportive. We have been playing chess for almost 20 years and his skill and knowledge are far beyond anyone else that I play with. He's great at remembering where in a game that I made mistakes and resets the game to that point ant the end and walks me through the better options that I missed.

Jon taught me so much about how to move my chess game to the next level. He is really the whole deal. He gave me book recommendations, online tools and apps, as well as teaching me how he thinks about given situations. From the tons of openings he taught me, to the logic of game development, and even end game thinking.

Anything I lack now comes from me and my willingness to put the time in. Jon gave me the tools to use and a true understanding of the game. I could not ask for more, or be more grateful.
