As a cybersecurity tutor, my approach to teaching is centered around creating an engaging and interactive learning environment that promotes a deep understanding of the subject matter. I believe in a hands-on and practical approach to learning, where students actively participate and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
In terms of techniques and teaching methodology, I employ a combination of instructional strategies to cater to different learning styles. This includes a mix of lectures, discussions, case studies and demonstrations. I also integrate relevant industry examples and current cybersecurity trends to make the material more relatable and impactful.
The typical length of a lesson may vary depending on the complexity of the topic and the level of engagement required. However, I usually structure my lessons to be around 60 minutes in duration.
As for my qualifications and experience as a tutor, I hold a bachelores degree in security and forensics with numerous industry recognized certifications including Comptia Sec+, multiple Microsoft security certifications and have 4 years in the field. I have practical experience in SOC incident response, cloud security, security DevOps, digital forensics and have worked as a security engineer and consultant to multiple large enterprises to enhance their cybersecurity posture.
My lessons are designed for individuals who are interested in or pursuing a career in cybersecurity. This includes students at various educational levels, professionals seeking to upskill or transition into cybersecurity roles, and anyone with a keen interest in understanding the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity.
