About Min

I studied Business Management from GCSE to Undergraduate level, and also undertook a Financial Technology Msc at Warwick Business School. I have a passion for teaching and helping others succeed.  I love to teach because it allows me to share real-world business knowledge, inspire future leaders, and help students build valuable, practical skills for their careers.

Over the last four years, I have taught 75+ students for Business Studies & Economics A-level and GCSE, and over 93% have achieved or exceeded their target grades. In 2025, all students achieved at least two grades higher than their predicted for A-level Business and Economics.

I only take on a handful of students every quarter in order to give each student the attention they need, meaning each student will have comprehensive assistance throughout our lessons and leading up to each exam.

I'm passionate about helping students understand key concepts in business and finance. I aim to create practical, engaging lessons that connect theory to real-world applications, helping students develop the skills needed for success in the business world.

We will use Notion, a free note-taking workspace, to cover all topics and weak areas before moving onto exam practice. This will help the student to centralise all of their notes onto a platform I can keep tabs on, and this will be accessible to parents so they can monitor progress.

I set homework that is tailored to each students' needs, and I often use visual aids and comprehensive assessments to make sure the student achieves their target grades. I will also update parents on the students' progress and my plans for upcoming lessons so they stay in the loop.

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

Taking both Finance and Economics subjects during my undergraduate degree really solidified my passion for these fields, and since graduating, I've been working in financial markets! I've been a tutor for nearly half a decade and have loved teaching like-minded students since I began.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach both Economics and Business Management, and I would say I really enjoy the topics where the two intertwine; for Economics in particular, I really enjoy teaching content with diagrams as I can demonstrate just how understandable it is with the right teaching. For business management, I enjoy teaching areas like elasticities of demand and supply & demand diagrams.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

I would say a teacher that really inspired me was an economics lecturer at my university- he really helped me understand what being a good teacher requires, and I've used some of his methods and tactics for both learning and teaching ever since.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

I think a good tutor has to have a good understanding of each students' needs and requirements. Every student learns differently, and that's the benefit of having a tutor- they should be able to cater the lesson's format and content to each individual so they can learn the subject in the best possible way. I love taking time out in the first lesson to really get to know each other and understand what exactly is required.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school

I learned at university very quickly that everyone studies differently, and has different methods of revision- don't compare yourself to others and focus on succeeding at your own pace.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

A challenge I faced was how mathematical Economics and Business became as I progressed through higher education; it's an aspect of these subjects that took some getting used to!
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

Whilst economics and finance remain my career, I'm also very involved in the music industry! Whilst I love teaching and working within the context of these subjects, I think it's very important to pursue other hobbies- for me, that's DJing!
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

A love of teaching, a sense of care to the students and really understanding what they need to succeed!
