Methodology
My teaching method is engaging, active and fun. I ensure my lessons are carefully planned and resourced to meet the needs of the student. I have always spent valuable time creating and organising resources to help students achieve the key aims of each lesson. I believe that a positive relationship is essential for a quality learning experience. I always promote a growth mindset attitude towards learning and maintain a hardworking environment.
Experience
My area of expertise is in sport psychology, professional development of practitioners in sport, and disability & society. In particular, I research the learning and development of sport coaches and swimming teachers. My research interests are in how coaches learn and acquire information and how they use this within practice and teachers’ perceptions of working with children who have additional support needs. In addition, I teach a variety of different subjects in sport but I am open to teaching different areas. I have taught for two years in Kilpatrick Primary School alongside professional and assistant teachers.
PVG checked - I have six different PVGs for the provision I work in. I will provide my PVG to parents/guardians if they require tutoring services to any child under the age of 16.
