About Catherine
For five years, I have relished teaching English to pupils in Wales. Each academic year, I hope to give pupils the best opportunities and outcomes possible for when they leave school - but why stop there?
Tutoring English Language and English Literature to young people across the UK has continually allowed me to help pupils surpass their own expectations for themselves, and prove that they are far more capable than they previously believed. I genuinely enjoy it, and it makes the job so much more worth it.

I offer a diverse range of lessons to suit the needs of the individual - be it one-off interventions, a set of lessons that focus on a particular need for improvement (e.g. punctuation use), or a broader scheme of lessons that encompass a whole literature text. These lessons can easily be catered alongside what the tutee is currently studying/expected to study in school and are best suited for tutees aged 11-16 (KS3 to KS4).
I prefer an interactive approach to lessons, whereby the tutee is directly involved in each task to ensure full engagement and potential to improve. Each lesson lasts for 60 minutes. Optional work can be set between lessons.
Within my 5 years of experience as a full-time English teacher in the UK, I understand that feedback and improvement is crucial for success; I am more than happy to provide any feedback on work produced outside of tutored lessons.
