About Daria
My name is Daria, and I am a professional language teacher and linguist with over 15 years of experience teaching English and Mandarin Chinese to adults at all levels.
I hold a university degree in linguistics and have had the pleasure of teaching in universities, private practice, and international academic settings. Helping students prepare for exams has also been a rewarding part of my journey as a teacher.
I genuinely care about the people I work with and find real joy in seeing my students grow and gain confidence. Whatever brings you to language learning, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Every student is different — and that’s exactly where I start. Before our first lesson, I have a relaxed conversation with each student to assess their level, understand their learning history, and get a feel for how they process and absorb information best. This shapes everything that follows.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. My lessons are built around custom-made presentations I design individually for each student — visually engaging, often playful, and always grounded in real, living language. Think idioms explained through memes, personality traits explored through humour, grammar that actually sticks because it connects to something meaningful.
With 15+ years of experience teaching adults — including university-level teaching — I work with students across all levels, from complete beginners to advanced speakers preparing for international exams like IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. Whatever your goal — professional English, conversational fluency, or exam success — I’ll find the approach that works for you.
