About Rene
I obtained a 4 year Higher Diploma in Education in 1990. I have since been a fulltime teacher at a few local schools and have tutored Afrikaans to a couple of matric students. I have also tutored part time at a maths, English and Afrikaans institution. The range of students I have taught vary from Grade 4 to Grade 12. In addition, I have been a freelance writer for a local weekly newspaper, as well as for a graphic design company. I also do brochure translations from English to Afrikaans for an international company.

I am a mother of two grown up children and four 4-legged ones. I have a positive attitude and seek to see the best in each situation. My teaching method is child centered and focuses on teaching from the students' excisting knowledge towards them grasping new concepts. I endeavour to involve the students as much as possible and like to bring in an element of fun into each lesson
