About Kassidy
Does a blinking cursor on a blank word document send you into an existential crisis? It’s only natural. But let’s work on it.
I am an experienced educator with an empathetic, flexible approach. I have a Master’s degree in English and spent several years teaching English and writing at the university level. I have also tutored writing and study skills to all ages and worked in exam prep.
My research as a graduate student centred on developing best practices for individualised learning at the college and university level, and my career thus far has been dedicated to implementing those practices to help students become confident, capable writers.
Whatever genre of writing you’re looking to improve, I am prepared to help.

My approach is grounded in best practices for composition studies and aimed at young adult and adult learners, including professionals. We will develop your skills by reflecting on those you already have and growing a robust writing practice that uses and expands your strengths. We will take a holistic approach, accounting for the productive practices that align with your learning style and your time budget.
These methods served my students well during my time as a university lecturer of writing composition in the US, where writing courses are compulsory across all areas of study. This means I am experienced in teaching writing to a diverse cohort of students who employ their skills across a variety of subjects. If you are looking for someone to help you approach writing or research projects of any kind, I am trained to help.
Lessons are flexible depending on your goals. A typical lesson would run about an hour and focus on progressing your existing writing assignments or projects. I can also offer asynchronous feedback on writing projects.
