About Souhail

Hello! My name is Souhail Akayour, and I’m an English teacher and translator with several years of experience helping learners improve their grammar, speaking, and writing skills. I’m also a PhD student researching AI and literary translation, which enriches my understanding of language and communication. My lessons are clear, engaging, and focused on real communication, using simple explanations and interactive activities to make learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate learner, I’m here to guide you step by step toward greater confidence and success in English.

About the lesson

My Approach as an English Tutor

Teaching Method & Techniques

- My teaching is communicative, learner-centered, and focused on real progress. I use:
- Clear explanations that break down grammar and vocabulary in simple, accessible ways.
- Context-rich learning, introducing new language through real-life situations and examples.
- Scaffolding techniques, guiding students step-by-step from understanding to confident use.
- Communicative activities, such as role-plays, discussions, and speaking prompts to build fluency.
- Form–meaning–use approach, ensuring students know what a structure means, how it is formed, and when to use it naturally.
- Interactive materials, including visuals, short videos, games, and personalized exercises.
- Ongoing corrective feedback that supports accuracy while boosting confidence.

My aim is to create lessons that are engaging, practical, and suited to each learner’s needs.

Typical Lesson Structure
A one-hour lesson usually includes:

1. Warm-up to activate prior knowledge
2. Observation: Guiding the learner to discover the target language with examples and visuals and without much lecturing
3. Practice through controlled and semi-controlled exercises
4. Production: Activities to use English freely and confidently
5. Feedback and a short wrap-up

What Makes My Teaching Unique

1. Strong academic background in English language and translation
2. Experience teaching different levels and age groups
3. Clear, structured, and engaging teaching style
4. Personalized lessons adapted to each learner’s goals
5. Understanding Arabic-speaking learners’ needs
