My name is Darren and I teach English. I have taught for 10 years and have a degree in English Literature from the Manchester Metropolitan University. In addition, I have a PGCE in post-compulsory education and recently achieved QTLS accreditation.

My lessons build on experience gathered over a number of years. Lessons regularly include tasks around spelling, punctuation and grammar. A focus on reading texts from a variety of sources both fiction and nonfiction as well as transactional and creative writing. I like to use lots of video and images within lessons and provide resources that are engaging, informative and fun.
