About Theo
Hi, I’m Theo, a friendly and approachable English tutor from the UK.
I have a background in the British Army, as well as experience working with people from a wide range of backgrounds and communication styles. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, clear communication and adapting to different people — all things I bring into my lessons.
I’m a relaxed and encouraging tutor, and I want my students to feel comfortable speaking English without worrying about making mistakes. I enjoy helping people build confidence and seeing their progress over time.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy keeping active, spending time with my family and learning new things myself. I believe learning should be enjoyable and practical, and I’ll always do my best to make our lessons something you look forward to.
Whether you’re learning English for everyday life, work, travel or simply to become more confident speaking, I’d love to help you reach your goals.

I believe the best way to learn English is to actually use it. My lessons focus on practical conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and building the confidence to speak naturally. I’ll adapt each lesson to your level, goals and interests, so you’re learning English that is useful to you.
There’s no pressure to be perfect. Mistakes are a normal and important part of learning, and I’ll help you understand and correct them without making you feel uncomfortable.
Every student is different, so I’ll work with you to identify what you want to improve and create lessons around your needs. Whether you’re starting from the basics or looking to take your English to the next level, you’re welcome.
