ESL teaching adults in Australia, NZ, Chicago; all levels both individually and in small classroom settings. Previous business experience.
Life experience: extensive travel, grew up in PNG with NZ parents; lived in Chicago, USA; Cambridge, UK; and New Zealand.
Qualification: Cambridge Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults - Insearch Language Centre, Sydney.

I like to assess the personal needs and skills of my student/s and after meeting and conversing with them will then structure lessons and our time together to help them improve their English and target this to their interests, individual motivation and personality in ways that are encouraging, helpful, inspiring and as interesting and creative as possible. I believe students learn best when they enjoy their learning, and with ESL teaching this is especially true, as when students feel free to be themselves and speak freely they will express themselves, practice and learn more!
I seek to understand my student/s and their learning style, and help my student/s improve their listening, speaking, pronunciation, grammar, reading, comprehension and understanding, writing and conversational skills in English in helpful and creative ways, with practice and practical instruction in these areas, depending on their needs and what they would like to receive help and practice with, being as practical as possible to their situation.

Cancellations will not be refunded, however lessons can be re-scheduled if given 24 hours notice.
