About Robert
I have been giving ESL/EFL lessons to groups and individuals for over 8 years in four countries.
I have a TESOL certificate earned in Moscow, Russia in 2009. I have helped students pass international tests and increase English skills to move up in abilities based on the Common European Framework.
I have taught EFL in Sierra Leone for one year, Moscow Russia for two years, and Odessa Ukraine for two years. I have also taught for the Capital Region Education Council (CREC)for 4 years.

I have a TESOL certificate. I have taught EFL in Sierra Leone, Russia, The USA, and I recently returned from Odessa Ukraine after two years of teaching.
I have given lessons to all levels and ages from 6 to 60 years old. My students have been school students to PhD’s. I have given lessons for taking international tests like The First Cambridge Exam (FCE) IELTS, and TOEFL.
I teach conversational English focusing on student centered learning. I focus on speaking, listening, grammar, reading and writing. Lessons are interesting and focus on several areas in each lesson.
I believe in using all senses to teach, a sense of humor, and student motivation.
Experienced, friendly, motivating and competent ESL teacher. A teacher who loves to teach, wants students to reach their goals, is student centered, is conversational, and has a sense of humor.
My lessons are student centered. We build English skills based on student knowledge and experience.
A typical lesson will start with something the student is familiar with. I can then design a lesson around the student interest. I have used movies, tv shows, nature, places of interest, historical events and holidays to teach the basics of English; vocabulary, gammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking.
I design lessons based on student's goals starting with what is familiar as the base.
I will come to you with an open mind and considerate of your goals.
