About Deirdre
I am passionate about Gaeilge and hold a BA in Modern Irish and an M.Phil. in Classics from Trinity College Dublin. I also completed my PME with Hibernia College and bring several years of tutoring experience to my grinds.
I provide supportive, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs, whether they are looking to build confidence in Gaeilge, improve their overall standard, or prepare specifically for the Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate exams. I can help with all aspects of the course, including grammar, written work, comprehension, oral and aural Irish, and exam technique,at both Higher and Ordinary Level.
While I primarily work with Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students, I am happy to teach students of all years and abilities. My aim is to make Gaeilge more approachable while helping each student reach their full potential.

I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can build confidence in Gaeilge. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level, goals, and individual needs, with a focus on developing skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
For Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students, I also place a strong emphasis on exam preparation and building the skills needed to perform confidently in the exam. I use a variety of resources, including past papers, audio clips, interactive activities, and conversation practice, to keep lessons varied, engaging, and effective.
