About Tom
I am an experienced, passionate science teacher with a long track record of outstanding GCSE results.
Having held various positions of responsibility in schools over the years I firmly believe in bringing science to life. Chemistry and Physics in particular can introduce concepts that are difficult to grasp; I make them accessible through a fun, activities-based teaching style that relies heavily on analogies and real-world links. I take particular pride in my questioning ability and this allows me to quickly identify and address misconceptions that can be a real hindrance to exam success.
When approaching important landmarks you can expect a focus on revision techniques and exam question practice, helping the student to develop a conscientious and responsible approach to their own learning.
