About Andy
Hi, I'm Andy, an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Geography at both GCSE and A-Level. I am also a current AQA examiner for GCSE geography therefore I can use this experience and knowledge to fully prepare you for your examinations and provide you with the strategies and tips on how to be able to answer and structure your questions so to gain the highest possible marks from your exams.
I am a geography graduate of Lancaster University and a current member of the geographical association through which i attend a number of seminars to ensure my knowledge is up to date and current.
Away from teaching, I am a shore crew member of the RNLI in Craster. I am also a keen traveller and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and Australia. I also lived and taught English for a number of months in Nepal.
Originally from Bolton, I moved to Northumberland in 2019 with my wife, son, 2 dogs and 2 tortoises and I spend a lot of my free time walking and exploring the amazing coastline and castles that the area has to offer.
If not walking, I can be found attending a wide variety of music gigs or watching a wide range of sports including football, cricket and the NFL.

I like to use a wide range of teaching to ensure that learning is stimulating and fun. Before we start tuition I offer a free consultation through which we will be able to identify your learning needs and style so that teaching can be catered to your needs. I have experience of teaching children with a wide range of SEN needs and I have researched and written papers on effective teaching strategies for a wide range of SEN needs.
I am able to teach either face to face or via the internet.
