About Ian
I am a qualified, maths and tutor, helping students pass many types of exam for 18 years. Most students improve by several grades and enjoy my lessons. I have worked with students doing GCSE, IGCSE, A level and a wide range of other exams and professional numeracy and maths exams. My students regularly say they get a large increase in confidence with maths from my lessons. They also say that I am very good at simplifying complex topics.

I check your knowledge of a topic carefully before we start and make sure you have fully grasped it before moving forward. I find out how you learn best and I take account of your best subjects and interests to find the best ways for you to grasp the topics include shortcuts and catchphrases to help you absorb things and regularly recheck topics to ensure that you stay on top of them. In particular, I show you how best to read, interpret and answer problem based, wordy exam questions.
