About Gregory
I have studied rock, jazz, and pop to degree level, and my musical experience also includes styles such as Latin, mandolin, contemporary acoustic, and more. With 25 years of experience on bass guitar, I bring both depth and versatility to my teaching. I aim to share my knowledge in a clear and supportive way, helping students develop their own musical understanding and confidence. Teaching online allows me to work efficiently from home, with all my resources readily available so that each lesson can be adapted to the student’s needs. Together, we can explore how guitar and bass function in different musical contexts while learning repertoire by both the student and other artists.

I use screen sharing with FaceTime and a sequencer to make lessons clear, practical, and interactive. This allows me to teach music theory, introduce sequencing, and help you build stronger skills on voice or instrument. We can explore harmony, reading music, useful apps, recommended books, listening examples, techniques, and tips, all with the aim of helping you create music that sounds good and makes musical sense.
