About Karely Paola
I’m Karely, a guitarist, performer and music tutor currently based in London! I recently completed a BA in Music and Mathematics at the University of Birmingham, and from September 2026 I’ll be beginning a Master of Music in Performance at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Alongside my studies, I have performed at jazz festivals, university events and venues including the Royal Albert Hall, CBSO centre and the Vortex. I have experience teaching one-to-one guitar lessons both privately and as a visiting school tutor. I’m passionate about music education and really enjoy helping students grow in confidence and develop their own musical interests in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Outside of teaching and performing, I love exploring different styles of music, improvisation and creative collaboration. I aim to make lessons feel approachable, enjoyable and tailored to each individual student.

I believe music lessons should be engaging, supportive and personalised to each student’s goals, interests and learning style. Whether a student wants to learn for fun, build confidence, improve technique or develop a deeper understanding of music, I aim to create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves creatively.
My teaching combines practical playing with musical understanding, and lessons can include technique work, learning songs, improvisation, ear training, rhythm, music theory and general musicianship depending on the student’s level and interests. I try to balance structure with flexibility so that lessons remain enjoyable while still helping students make clear progress.
I teach students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to more advanced players looking to develop their technique, creativity and overall musicianship. As a music graduate with experience in both performance and education, I am comfortable teaching a wide range of levels and adapting lessons to suit each individual student.
Lesson lengths can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on age, level and availability. I am DBS cleared, fluent in English and Spanish, and experienced working with children and young musicians in both school and workshop settings.
