About Jake
Hi, im Jake. I started out playing bass when i was 9 after having found my fathers bass hidden under a bed collecting dust! Having his extensive record and cd collection to my advantage i started to learn what i could with his help and moved onto guitar. I am predominantly self taught but have had some lessons and classes having studied professional musicianship on guitar to degree level at BIMM.
After working a dull and meaningless existence for the past few years since leaving university i have decided to give back to the community that made me and start teaching!

I am able to teach guitar, bass and music theory from beginner to an advanced level. I cover various styles including and not limited to; Rock, Pop, Country, Blues and Metal. I have knowledge in most live and studio set up techniques aswell as experience using professional music production software such as Ableton and Cubase. My knowledge base also extends to home set ups and design and build projects (from guitars to full studio builds).
I teach at a pace that suits you whilst also challenging you to get the results you want. I incorporate material that you want to play to maximise your learning and playing ability at the same time.
