About Beena
I am a passionate and experienced Hindi educator with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught Hindi across IB, MYP, IGCSE and ICSE curricula and enjoy working with learners of different ages, abilities and backgrounds. I am patient, approachable and committed to helping students gain confidence in Hindi. I also enjoy sharing the richness of Indian culture, traditions and everyday life with international learners.
I have taught at Good Shepherd International School since 1997: over 30 years of ICSE, more than 18 years of Cambridge IGCSE, about 9–10 years of IB Diploma Hindi B and 4 years of IB MYP. I hold an M.A. and a B.A. in English from Ambedkar University, Agra, and I am fluent in Hindi and English.
I am proud of my students' 2025–26 results: in the IB MYP5 Hindi eAssessment, three students achieved Grade 6 and one Grade 7; in IB Diploma Hindi B, three achieved Grade 6 and one Grade 5; in Cambridge IGCSE Hindi, one A*, two As and one B; and my ICSE Hindi class had a 100% pass rate with a class average of 90.7%.
Beyond school curricula, I also teach spoken Hindi to anyone who wishes to speak the language, whatever their age, background or level. This includes foreigners who want to learn basic Hindi, lovers of Indian culture, travelers, academicians, and people who simply enjoy learning Indian languages as a hobby.
These lessons are conversation-based and practical. Learners practice speaking from the very first class, with a focus on everyday situations, correct pronunciation and the confidence to communicate naturally. I explain everything clearly in English, so complete beginners feel comfortable, and I adapt each lesson to the learner's goals and pace.

My lessons are personalized, interactive and designed according to each learner’s level, age and purpose. I teach Hindi for IB, IGCSE, ICSE and MYP students, as well as conversational Hindi for international learners, tourists and expats. Lessons can include speaking, reading, writing, listening, grammar, vocabulary and practical everyday communication. I also introduce learners to Indian culture, traditions and everyday life, making Hindi meaningful and enjoyable.
For school students, I offer curriculum-based support for Grades 8–12, examination preparation and revision, and help with IB Hindi B oral and written assessments, with clear, constructive feedback after every task. We build strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary and sentence construction step by step.
As I hold an M.A. in English, I can explain Hindi clearly in English, which helps students abroad and anyone who learns through English. Lessons are online by webcam. I taught my students online through Google Classroom during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am available in the evenings from 5 to 7 PM and 9 to 11:30 PM (IST), and my timings are flexible for international students.
