About Robert
I’m Robert McMahon, a dedicated and enthusiastic Irish language tutor currently studying Science at University College Dublin (UCD). I achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert Irish and have a real passion for the language, culture, and helping others improve. I enjoy supporting students of all levels — whether you’re struggling with basics, preparing for exams, or aiming for top grades. I believe learning Irish should be enjoyable, encouraging, and rewarding, and I always strive to create lessons that are patient, motivating, and tailored to each student’s strengths and goals.

My Irish grinds are fully tailored to each student’s individual strengths, weaknesses, and exam goals. I focus on building confidence in reading, writing, and spoken Irish through structured lessons that mix clear grammar explanations, exam-style practice, and conversation. I’m a current UCD science student and achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert Irish, so I know what it takes to succeed in both the written and oral exams. Lessons are 40 minutes and suitable for Junior Cert and Leaving Cert students of all levels. I’m passionate about the language and helping you improve your grade and fluency.
I offer a free 30-minute assessment to evaluate your current level of Irish, which helps me design a tailored teaching plan and structure future lessons to suit your needs.
