About Olivia
I am a passionate and highly experienced Psychology teacher with over 11 years of experience teaching A-Level Psychology in both UK and international schools. I also work as an AQA examiner, giving me an excellent understanding of the specification, assessment criteria and what students need to do to achieve the highest grades.
Alongside teaching, I have several years of experience as a private tutor and have supported students with a wide range of abilities and goals. I pride myself on building positive, supportive relationships with my students and creating an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing their confidence.
I hold a Psychology degree from the University of Exeter and a PGCE in Social Sciences. My experience also includes working as a SENCO, which has given me a strong understanding of different learning needs and the importance of adapting teaching to the individual.
Above all, I genuinely enjoy teaching Psychology and helping students make progress. Whether a student is struggling with the subject, looking to improve their exam technique or aiming for an A/A*, I provide patient, focused and encouraging support tailored to them.

I am an experienced A-Level Psychology teacher, Head of Psychology and AQA examiner with over 11 years of classroom teaching experience, alongside several years of successful private tutoring.
My lessons are tailored to the individual student and their specific areas for development. I focus not only on strengthening knowledge and understanding, but also on the exam technique needed to turn that knowledge into high-scoring answers. As an AQA examiner, I have a strong understanding of what examiners are looking for and the common mistakes that prevent students from reaching the higher grade boundaries.
Lessons are interactive and typically include a combination of targeted teaching, retrieval practice, application questions and exam-style questions. I place particular emphasis on developing confident AO2 and AO3 skills, structuring extended responses and helping students understand exactly how to approach different question types.
I am experienced in supporting students across a wide range of abilities, from those who need help building confidence and securing the fundamentals to high-achieving students aiming for A/A* grades.
Lessons are typically one hour and are suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 A-Level Psychology students. I primarily specialise in the AQA specification and can offer regular weekly tuition, targeted support with particular topics or focused exam preparation.
