About Hannah
I am a Registered Nurse with an MSN in Nursing Education and more than 10 years of experience in healthcare. I began my nursing career as an LPN before earning my BSN and ultimately my MSN, so I understand firsthand the challenges that come with progressing through nursing school and building confidence as a nurse.
My clinical background includes emergency nursing and medical-surgical nursing, with experience caring for a wide variety of adult and pediatric patients. In my current role, I also serve in nursing leadership and education-focused responsibilities, including charge nursing, quality improvement, chart auditing, and supporting the education and development of other nurses.
I earned my BSN from East Tennessee State University and my MSN in Nursing Education from Western Governors University. My graduate education included curriculum development, instructional design, assessment, and evidence-based teaching strategies for nursing students.
Most importantly, I remember what it feels like to be a nursing student! My goal is to create a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can ask questions, work through difficult concepts, and leave feeling more confident in both your knowledge and clinical reasoning.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student and focus on making nursing concepts actually make sense—not just memorizing information for the next exam. We can work through difficult course material, review clinical concepts, practice NCLEX-style questions, or focus on specific areas where you need additional support.
My teaching style is practical, supportive, and conversational. I like to connect textbook concepts to real patient-care situations and use practice questions to help students understand the “why” behind the correct answer. A typical lesson starts with identifying what you’re struggling with, reviewing the concept together, and then applying it through examples, scenarios, or practice questions.
I can tutor LPN/LVN and RN students in fundamentals, medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, assessment, clinical reasoning, NCLEX preparation, and other core nursing topics. As an MSN-prepared Registered Nurse with experience in emergency and medical-surgical nursing, I bring both clinical experience and formal training in nursing education to each lesson.
