About Suzanne
Having taught in secondary schools to hundreds of students over 10 years delivering alternative education programmes such as AQA units, CoPE and the Duke of Edinburgh Award and leading youth projects, I also managed a team and delivered professional training as well as continuing professional development (cpd) to staff. I am also a mentor delivering support to students at Brighton University studying Youth Work at diploma and degree level and a qualified A1 assessor. More recently I have worked for a local charity, writing funding bids and a member of the Sussex Council of Training providers (SCTP). I also managed projects to young adults such as Opt in (a re-engagement programme to disadvantaged young people) and successfully completed a bid through the Princes Trust scheme and partners to support and manage the delivery of their Talent Match scheme. Previously I have managed Youth Projects and delivered alternative education to disengaged young people in schools and other statutory programmes. I also sat on a Child Protection Panel and was the safeguarding lead for children and young people aged 8+ in my last role.
