About JULIANA
I hold a degree in Mathematics Education from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), one of Brazil’s leading public universities, and have been a qualified Math teacher for over 20 years.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience with personalized instruction, adapting my teaching methods to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and academic challenges.
As a Brazilian educator, I also understand the challenges students may face when adapting to a new country, language, and educational system. My goal is to provide a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, strengthening their math skills, and building confidence.
I believe that every student can succeed in mathematics when concepts are explained clearly, patiently, and in a way that makes sense to them.

I help Brazilian students living in the U.S. learn math with confidence while adapting to the American school system.
My lessons are taught in Portuguese, allowing students to focus on understanding mathematical concepts without language becoming an additional barrier. At the same time, I introduce the English math vocabulary and terminology they encounter at school, helping them become more independent in the classroom.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student's grade level, current challenges, school assignments, and learning pace. We can review classroom content, work through homework, prepare for tests, strengthen foundational skills, or focus on specific areas where the student needs additional support.
My goal is to make math clear, practical, and easier to understand while helping Brazilian students feel more confident and prepared to succeed in their U.S. schools.
