About Nayana
Math has always been one of my favorite subjects, and I genuinely enjoy helping students understand it with confidence. I have a strong logical and conceptual understanding of key topics such as algebra, trigonometry, calculus (Calculus I), functions, limits, and introductory linear algebra, and other core high school and first year university Mathematics topics. My academic background in Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering has further strengthened my problem-solving and analytical skills, which I bring into every lesson. I approach tutoring with patience, clarity, and professionalism. I believe that every student can improve in math when concepts are explained clearly and at the right pace. I focus on building a solid foundation, identifying gaps in understanding, and guiding students step by step until they feel confident solving problems independently.

As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand mathematical concepts rather than memorizing steps or formulas. I believe that once the fundamentals are clear, students gain confidence and can solve problems independently, even when questions are presented in new or unfamiliar ways. I always begin by understanding where the student currently stands—their strengths, gaps, and learning pace. This allows me to adapt my teaching style to each student and explain concepts in a way that makes sense to them. I use clear explanations, step-by-step logic, and real examples to break down complex ideas into manageable parts.
