Doctor (or Dr.) is an academic title that originates from the Latin word docēre meaning "to teach". It has been used as an academic title in Europe since the 13th century. "Dr." is used as a designation for a person who has obtained a Doctorate (the highest level of an academic qualification e.g. Ph.D.). The completion of a Ph.D. is often a requirement for employment as a university professor, researcher, or scientist in many fields. In many parts of the world, "Dr." is also used by medical practitioners as an honorary calling since the early 19th century, regardless of whether or not they hold a doctoral-level degree.

» For KS1-KS4, AS/A Levels: the classes are individually tailored to student’s needs. The students tell me in advance which topic they want to learn. I prepare a few questions & solutions for the chosen subject to tutor during our joint session and encourage students to bring specific exercises related to the selected topic. I ask the student to solve problems in front of me to ensure that they have understood the concepts well. I try to help visualise maths when possible to enhance students capabilities in approaching a problem alongside learning the methods. In the end, I try to point out the key points learned during our session. Close to the exam time, I make students solve several exam questions to boost their exam skills. I aim that each student gains the necessary subject knowledge to help them in real life rather than merely memorizing methods to solve a specific set of exam questions.

» I teach mathematics. Also, I help A-level students to write and proofread personal statements and CVs for university admissions; cover letters and CVs for job applications; M.Sc. or Ph.D. thesis for university submissions; technical and clinical manuscripts for journal submissions.

» I hold a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in mathematical modelling of medical data & did postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford, Newcastle University, and King's College London.

» With 10+ years of experience of teaching students up to university level, I thoroughly enjoy teaching and help students visualise mathematics when possible.

» I previously interacted with school students of all age groups at various science festivals, educating them about cancer and medical imaging.

» I hold Enhanced DBS check (25/08/2018), Basic Scotland Disclosure (05/01/2017), and certified courses in Children Protection from National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).

» I have co-authored & published 24 scientific reports, including full-length peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, invited reviews, and short articles for scientific magazines.

» I serve as an invited peer-reviewer to various international scientific journals including NeuroImage, Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Research, Nuclear Medicine Communications, Calcified Tissue International and Current Radiopharmaceuticals, where I peer-review the work of other scientists from around the world.

» I hold various mathematics Olympiad awards.
