About Keith
I am an engineering graduate with QTS in Secondary Mathematics. Previous careers range from maintenance engineer, carpenter, lorry driver and police officer before completing my university degree to begin teacher training. Hobbies include triathlon, pool and snooker and playing the drums. Having worked in varied career sectors, I can pool my skills and knowledge to the realm of applied mathematics to aim to make tutorials relatable and understandable.

I base my lesson plans on this widely recognised, tried and tested approach: - concentrating on the key topics, - beginning with starter exercises, - modelling and explaining the subject matter, - completing tasks with the pupil, - setting independent practice questions and scenarios, - reviewing and evaluating, considering common misconceptions, - finishing with a plenary or activity to finish, often with a short, fun 'brain break' between topics.
