About Timothy
I'm Tim. I am in my fifties, living in North Wales with my wife and 3 children. I work as an accountant and am offering Maths tuition from primary to GCSE level. I have been tutoring for 3 years and have a degree in Maths as well as a professional accountancy qualification. When my teenage daughter was struggling with her Maths at school I would help her with the questions, but soon saw that I could help her not only improve her grades, but also to gain a proper understanding of the subject so that she could apply all the principles quickly and easily in her life outside school. As I have developed my tutoring I can see how important it is to start at the point each pupil has reached wherever that is, and then help them to develop their skills from there.

I teach by giving confidence to students at all levels by concentrating on basic skills and building from each pupil's current knowledge and understanding. My lessons not only teach pupils the skills they need, but also the key ways to learn, so these learning skills can be applied to any subject. I have worked with both primary and secondary school students to help them overcome any fears and as a Maths graduate, I have the knowledge to stretch more able pupils to achieve excellence.
