About Rebecca
I am a secondary school maths teacher in my sixth year of teaching and I am currently responsible for the creation of the Year 7, 8 and 9 maths curriculum. I teach because I enjoy making maths fun and engaging by linking it to the real world skills but also breaking down harder concepts so they become much easier to understand and remember.
I believe that anyone can understand and apply maths, it is just a case of working out how you approach it.

Sessions will fall into 1 of 3 categories:
1. GCSE prep - this will be tailored to filling the gaps in your knowledge and will primarily focus on exam success with emphasis on exam style questions and GAP analysis
2. Progress boost - this will be tailored to the curriculum in school which means this type of tutoring will recap and/or extend current learning whilst boosting your understanding ahead of GCSE. This is especially useful for those who want a boost to improve their target grade.
3. Catch Up - this tends to be most suited to pupils who find themselves falling behind their age related expectations. This could be due to extended absence, slower learning speeds, cover in school or the ongoing impact of COVID on earning. These sessions will start with GAP analysis to establish the current working at level and a personalised program will be created to accelerate the pupils to the necessary level.
