About Zachary
From a young age I've had a passion for understanding how things work, especially the universe! My love of physics fuelled a desire to learn the language of mathematics that attempts to describe it.
I later became passionate about explaining Maths in a simple, undertandable way. So many students have a bad experience with Maths in school, so I love to help students overcome those feelings of trepidation, learn to embrace maths and think like a mathematician.
I've worked as a secondary school teacher for 10+ years now and so am very familiar with the UK education system, different exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) and the varying needs of students.

I'm an experienced teacher and tutor with an infectious passion for Maths. Having been a Secondary school teacher for 10+ years now, I've helped students from all levels and backgrounds to succeed at GCSE and A level Mathematics.
In my own education journey, I regularly achieved 100% on Maths exams and honed the skill of self-teaching. My priority as a tutor is helping students develop this vital skill as well as learning to enjoy learning Maths and reach their educational goals. I focus on helping students understand Maths conceptually alongside learning exam techniques.
Lesson can be any length, but typically an hour with the following rates:
GCSE Maths and below: £40/ hour
A level Maths/ Further Maths: £45/ hour
Native English but also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
