About Mark
After a lengthy career as an Environmental Scientist in the water industry, I qualified as a Secondary Teacher of Science in 1999. Since then I have over 20 years experience teaching Science up to GCSE and Biology up to A2 Level. Currently, I work as Laboratory Technician for a biofuels company and enjoy tutoring in my spare time. I am available most weekday evenings after 5.30 pm and some Sundays. I prefer students in the Wirral area.
I have a love for my subjects, particularly biological and environmental sciences, and am committed to delivering the curriculum to my students in a way which I feel best fits their needs. I am keen to draw upon a variety of resources in order to stimulate and sustain their interest with an emphasis on applying knowledge and understanding, thereby developing students' transferable skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking. I am able to do some of the GCSE required practicals.
