With music theory, every student has strengths and weaknesses. My classes usually involve past papers and exercises that will highlight each person’s abilities, and working on the topics they find harder in creative ways, such as physical movement, musical application and linguistic techniques.
I grew up in a musical household, learning all kinds of instruments and musical knowledge. I studied Music at A level and have experience with teaching music theory.
River has been working with me since she was 17, teaching on chamber music and music theory courses. She is very well taught herself, and this comes through in her delivery of both one-to-one and small group lessons. She is a natural musician, able to convey her enthusiasm for music and is experienced at teaching all ages from 5-adult. I recommend her unreservedly.
River’s been teaching me to play violin for a couple of months now and she’s been very good at it. Everything is explained clearly and at a pace that suits me and with a great deal of patience and enthusiasm for the instrument. Until I’d started learning with her, I had no idea I even wanted to learn the instrument, and she’s inspired me to continue with it.
