About Fenella
I offer a personable teaching service that I believe generates more confidence in a student's verbal and written capabilities. None of my students have ever failed an exam. I started teaching EFL (English as a foreign language) at a comprehensive school whilst studying for my Masters in London, then moved to Spain to gain more experience as a teacher and as a writer.
My passion for the English Language is incomparable to the average native speaker. I am a teacher not just to enlighten others, but also to learn more about my language from a foreigner's perspective.
I believe that language acquisition is not bound solely to a text book, but also the culture in which the language moves. I favour newspaper articles and topical discussions to allow my students to really 'walk around' in the language.
Exam preparation is something I take very seriously, and as such will devise a schedule so that my student can master all relevant topics and more in order for them to pass the exam.

My passion for words and the English language is something I pride myself in passing onto my students.
I have two degrees in English (BA Hons English and an MA in Literature and Modernity), and at least three years of experience teaching all levels. I specialise in providing a flexible and personalised teaching schedule to enhance and compliment the lives of working professionals. My methodology is always specific to the individual and mostly concerns a smorgasbord of materials and techniques that I believe to be relevant to the individual, (newspaper articles, interactive grammar exercises, topical conversations, structured writing lessons).
My clients are mostly Lawyers and Accountants, however I have experience with children and adults of all ages and capabilites. It would be a pleasure to get to know and teach you the language that I love so very much!
