About David
I'm a French native teacher and published novelist (Gallimard, Le Cherche Midi) as well as journalist (Le Figaro, La Revue des deux Mondes, Causeur) graduate in Literature and philosophy from Sorbonne University in Paris (PhD).
I've been teaching French and French literature for more than 15 years, in France, Brazil and the UK.
I have worked with all types of learners, from beginners (A0/A1) to advanced level French speakers (C1/C2).
I have tutored university students and professionals looking to enhance their prospects in the global marketplace, as well as adult learners seeking to rediscover a lost skill or preparing to relocate to a French speaking country.
I teach both one-to- one classes and small groups, never losing my focus on the personal goal of each student.

Every lesson is carefully planned in advance, drawing upon a wide and varied range of materials including textbooks (the internationally recognised range published by CLE International), press and media, classic and modern literature, as well as podcasts and other audio-visual resources.
My primary goal is to help build up my student's confidence. The structure of each lesson will be built around your own priorities but will always address each of the four critical elements of language learning - reading, writing, speaking and listening.
