About Vladimir
I am a professional jazz guitarist, recording artist, and music educator based in New York City, holding a Master of Music with Honors from NYU where I also served as an Adjunct Instructor. My debut album First Time Around — featuring acclaimed NYC musicians and mixed and mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Chris Allen — is available on all major streaming platforms, and my second album is set for release in Spring 2027 under the Cellar Live record label. With over 8 years of teaching experience across more than 100 students of all ages, I bring a warm, patient, and deeply personalized approach to every lesson — whether you are a complete beginner or an advancing musician looking to take your playing to the next level.

We will build a strong technical foundation from the ground up, covering proper posture, picking technique, left hand development, and fretboard navigation. Good habits developed early make all the difference in the long run.
Theory & Musicianship
Understanding music theory does not have to be boring — I make it practical, relevant, and directly connected to the music you want to play. We will cover chord construction, scales, harmony, ear training, and how to read music at whatever pace works best for you.
Repertoire
Learning songs you actually love is one of the most powerful motivators in music. We will work on the songs, styles, and artists that inspire you most — whether that is jazz standards, classical pieces, blues, pop, or anything in between.
Improvisation & Creativity
For students interested in jazz or soloing, I place a strong emphasis on developing your own musical voice and learning to express yourself freely and confidently on the instrument.
Exam Preparation
For students pursuing Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations, I have extensive experience preparing students across multiple grade levels in guitar and theory.
