About Laura
My name is Laura, and I am a medical doctor from the Dominican Republic and a native Spanish speaker. I offer personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and goals.
I believe that every student learns differently, so my approach is patient, flexible, and focused on helping students build confidence while achieving their academic objectives.
Teaching has always been something I genuinely enjoy. Since I was young, I loved helping others understand different subjects and sharing what I knew. As I grew older, I realized that teaching could be more than just a childhood passion—it could become something I truly pursued.
That motivated me to take educational courses and gain experience as an instructor. I worked as a high school teaching assistant for two years, where I supported students academically and developed my communication and teaching skills. Throughout the years, I have also continued taking online courses to expand my knowledge and strengthen my skills.
As a doctor, I have developed strong study habits, discipline, critical thinking, and the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and understandable way. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students understand the material, but also to help them feel more confident and motivated in their learning journey. I look forward to helping my students reach their goals!

First of all I evaluate my student to see what level he or she is in. I ask some questions regarding study preferences. When I get that information and the results I begin from there on to create that personalized plan.
All type of students of all ages.
