About Zophie
I am a passionate and experienced Geography teacher with over 26 years of success teaching in secondary schools across London and Leicestershire. As a current Geography Subject Lead, I lead curriculum development and support colleagues to improve student outcomes. I am also a GCSE Geography OCR B Examiner, giving me first-hand knowledge of examination standards, mark schemes and assessment objectives. This examiner insight enables me to provide highly targeted support that helps students maximise examination performance.
I regularly deliver Geography Masterclasses for the Lionheart Education Trust and recently delivered specialist A-Level revision sessions for students preparing for their final examinations. Alongside my teaching responsibilities, I have served as both a Head of Year and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). I hold a Master's Degree in Senior Leadership, am fully DBS checked and have been consistently judged Outstanding throughout my teaching career.
Students and parents value my calm, encouraging and professional approach. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to equip students with the revision techniques, examination skills and independent learning habits that will benefit them throughout their education and beyond.

I offer engaging, supportive and highly effective Geography tuition for GCSE and A-Level students, drawing on 26 years of classroom experience and a proven track record of helping students achieve their potential. My lessons are carefully tailored to individual needs and focus on building confidence, improving knowledge and developing the exam skills required for success.
My teaching techniques and methodology
• Identify strengths and areas for development through diagnostic questioning and assessment.
• Develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts and case studies.
• Focus on exam technique, including command words, structure, timing and how to maximise marks.
• Teach effective revision strategies that students can apply independently.
• Build confidence through guided practice, model answers and regular feedback.
• Provide tailored home-learning tasks and revision activities between sessions.
• As a current Geography Subject Lead and GCSE Geography OCR B Examiner, I provide valuable insight into what examiners are looking for and how students can maximise marks.
