About Varad
About me: I graduated with a first from LSE in BSc Economics in 2020. I also received a scholarship to study economics at UC Berkeley. Over the past 10 years, I have helped over 15 students get admission into the likes of LSE, UCL, Warwick and Cambridge. Today I work as a Consultant within Aviation. I focus on supporting students looking to get into Economics or adjacent programmes because I understand exactly what admissions tutors are looking for in those areas. Rather than provide a "generalist" perspective, what I bring to the table is a "specialist" view when applying for these subjects. I am happy to support students focusing on other subjects, but would advise them to consider specialist tutors in those fields.

A) End-to-End Coaching (3 sessions - £150)
Who it’s for: Students starting from scratch (or with messy notes) who want a standout personal statement.
What we’ll do:
Session 1 – Strategy & Story (60–75 min): Map your motivations, evidence, and academic fit (econ/math/stats). Decide target courses/unis and refine positioning (e.g., Oxbridge vs LSE vs. UCL vs. Warwick). Between sessions: I share a framework + tailored prompts to find key examples which we can include in your statement (reading, competitions, projects, work experience, super-curriculars).
Session 2 – Outline to Mature Draft (60–75 min): Use the inputs to your framework to build a clear structure (hook → evidence → reflection → fit). You leave with a mature draft. Between Sessions: Deep edit & margin notes: I complete a line-by-line edit focused on clarity, specificity, and reflection.
Session 3 – Polish & Proof (45–60 min): Tighten language, check coherence and word count, and ensure your voice remains authentic.

B) Deep Review (2, 30 minute session + full written critique - £100)
Who it’s for: You’ve got a solid draft and want expert feedback and a high-impact rewrite pass.
What’s included:
30-minute call to understand your ambitions, and more about your profile. 48-hour deep dive: I comb through structure, narrative, evidence, and reflection; complete a tracked-changes edit + margin notes and a one-page action plan.
30-minute follow-up: Walkthrough of changes and final polish plan.
Deliverables: Tracked-changes document (clarity, specificity, concision). Commented checklist (what to cut, what to evidence, what to clarify). One rewrite pass included (within 3 days of the follow-up).
