My methodology is simple. Music is to be enjoyed. Lessons should be fun. I do expect you to practice between lessons so you can see your own progression, but it is to be enjoyable. It is never too late or early to start learning. Maybe you want to pick up where you left off years ago? Don't want to take exams? No problem, it's up to you. For more info (concealed information)
A graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire in Piano performance and teaching I have experience as a soloist, accompanist, chamber musician and have also played in orchestras. I also have knowledge of other instruments having learnt the flute (grade 8 distinction) and tried my hand at the viola, organ and percussion and sung in choirs. Injury prevented me from pursuing a career as a performer but I get the same satisfaction from inspiring others to realise their passion in learning the piano.
Your first introductory lesson is free.
After that as a beginner I would recommend a 30 minute lesson (£15) and in due course increasing to a 45 minute lesson at a mutually agreeable time (£25).
There would also be the opportunity for a 1 hour lesson if required before a performance or exam
